U know, with the lack of cpu-requirement in this day`n`age, I`d be wholey tempted to buy a fist full of these if any e-shop does a clearance offer on them.

Get em quick- probably the best £113 I ever spent on PC components tbh. In a decade or so, people will speak on of the legend of the Q6600, "the mighty value cpu that could hold its own* against cpu's 3, 4 times its price when it was OC'd"
*in games, obv synth benchies it was slower.

It'll go down in history. The legend that is, the Q6600.
When something dies, something better will follow. Hopefully the same method will apply to the Q6600. Lets hope for the best.

Let's hope so. I hope that we get a Q9450 in its spot. I don't fancy paying £250 for a Q9550 when I can get a Q6600 for around £140 at the moment, they will come down though.

I agree with you mate,may have to keep my eyes open for some nice clearance deals on these chips
