Water Cutting - windows/integrated rad grills/bespoke parts

"The water jet process provides many unique advantages and capabilities compared to other methods of cutting. The process uses water at 60,000 psi to remove material without heat. This cold cutting process uses a supersonic stream of water to "grind" away the small grains of material. A very fine abrasive can be added to the water stream to increase the power of the process many times (called abrasive jet as opposed to water jet)."

ADVANTAGES & CAPABILITIES

Cuts virtually any material (plastics/composites/steels/copper/brass/aluminium/glass/ceramic/stone and exotics such as titanium and inconel)

Cuts thin material and thick (aluminium to 250mm/stainless steel to 100mm)

No heat affected zone

No mechanical stresses

Extremely detailed geometry - no limits on complexity of design

Stack material to cut many thin parts at once

General tolerance +/- 0.2mm

Ability to nest parts reducing material waste (part separation down to 1mm)

Edge finishes are clean, burr - free and without oxidation or distortion - eliminating many secondary finishing operations

Cut out requirement for secondary drilling/slotting operations

No tooling costs

Suitable for small or large production runs

Computer control means easy and very low cost design modifications

The process is environmentally 'clean' producing no hazardous substances or noxious fumes

Integrated roof grills available, custom windows, custom grills, roof and front panel skins, custom mounts and part fabrication

Full cad design service available

Any size job can be undertaken, prices start at £5

What would the price be based on? Total length of the cut, materials required for the cut, work put in correcting/creating CAD drawings?

All of the above. Material cost in small though. Length of cut and cad is the main cost.

How much would a side panel of a normal case cost?

Just a simple square.

You could cut that cheaper with a simple jigsaw.

But if it was a simple quick cut you would be looking at about £25

Well if you could provide us with some prices I'd be delighted not that I'm very probable to become a customer though, as I like to keep my case as sober as possible.
