Lag issures Company Of Heroes

Morning all!

Just installed COH for a good old bash at RTS.. and my 9800GX2 cannot handle it!

I have tried everything.. but I get servere lag everywhere other than the very edges of a map.

When I do the "Performance Test" with everything set at Ultra/High I get 100 odd FPS average and 250+ for max.. min is 45FPS. What the hell?

Any Ideas?

The only time I`ve gotten a bit of lag out of the game was doing a mouselook whilst playing.

Pretty odd one this, u looked out for any updates on it ?

I am on the latest patch as I wanted to play online.. but the lag stops me from playing competativly.

Things I have tried -

Turned off Vsync

Turned off Triplebuffer

Turned off AA

Turned off SLI

Turned off PhysX

Force 75Hz refresh rate (My normal)

Changed Drivers from 178.15 to 180.42

Set OCs to Stock

Disabled Post Processing

Changed SLI mode, AFR1,AFR2 etc.

Stuck... My HD 3600 runs it better!

try running it in a window, that was the only way i could get rid of the lag in mine for a while.. it's very odd the game seems to run perfectly but when in-game it goes crazy when units appear very strange.. haven't played it much to be honest, this being the reason why

Still runs like fluid on mine (as I said with a bit of mouselook slowdown).

I`m wondering if it`s how ur Windows is installed.

I`m using Vista 64bit Ultimate, fixed 8g pagefile (unfragmented), OS installed on 80g drive, game installed on Raid0 2x200g WD drives. (folding in the background too), Q9540/4g ram w/8800gt atm

Apart from looking at the obvious things, try turning off/disabling ur sound. Sound drives fudge loads of things up secretly.

I think I have figured it out.. it always seems to go slow when I ahve just been GPU folding.

But when it is a clean boot it runs as it should. Does the GPU console have a memory leak.. or something which degrades the GPU until restart?
