Question about subwoofers

hey guys i have heard if you just buyed a sub and you play it at like 100% vol can you blow it then when its new?? so i know that may i get a new sub

You should wear new speakers in gradually, subwoofers included

I wouldn't play it at 100% volume.. they have an awesome amount of power and will break very soon.

I have tried my speakers at like 75%.. my windows vibrated practically.. very powerful 2.1 speake system!

Yeah he's got the same speakers as me.

lol cant do that now its like 22:24 here lol also parents get crazy when i do that

EDIT my speakers and sub are loud lol when i turn them up high damn iam getting deaf then EDIT my sub even has 6W more so my window vibrates like hell

I have them on full all the time, with X-Fi Crystalliser and some other features to boost the volume. Music is my second biggest hobby along with computing. <3

There are many occasions in which I always get told off because of my Subs by my parents, but whats worse is that the volume is only set to around 7% - Mostly because of the sub, so I always have to lower the bass on it.

That's because bass is a multi-directional frequency - well bass typically below 80 Hz is anyway. You'll always hear a car coming with music blaring and notice the bass first, as opposed to mids and treble.
