GeForce GTX 260 Core 216 Superclocked

Is this card worth looking at to buy? I know it just came out and I cant find any benchmarks running this card. Not sure if I should just said for the next round of Nvidia GPU's or sell my 8800 gt's and pick up a pair of these cards.

I think you should wait for the next round up, it shouldn't be too long until they release another new graphics card. Might be a couple of months but it is probably worth the wait for newer technology

Good cards, though I would prefer the 4870 if you weren't already on an SLI motherboard!

Just as a matter of interest, do you do any overclocking on your CPU and if so, what is the maximum stable clock you've had?

My CPU is right now at 3.2 ghz on a Q6600 B3 stepping. My Thermaltake 780e bigwater does a poor job of cooling the cpu. So I want to upgrade my LCS and push my cpu farther. I also lapped my cpu which droped the temps by 8c. I think I might hold off on new gpu's for right now not sure tho.

Don't you have to buy a lapping kit?

Any ways, I think your LCS isn't the best to be honest (no offence) but TT don't do good LCS systems, it is far better to build your own which I am thinking of doing for Xmas instead of my Q6600/Q9550 and PSU (yes I am only 15)

Nope I got a really good Lapping guide off youtube I cant post links yet but just type in the user name tjharlow . He has a really really good step by step lapping guide. All you really need is sandpaper and time. Anyways check out that guide on youtube its what I used and it worked to perfection. As for my LCS I know its bad, and I cant wait to get my new parts I just need to build up some cash Im a poor college student. When I get 15 posts I will post a parts list and let you guys tell me whats good and what needs to be changed.

Don't look for advice on water cooling from me, I have never done it before as I have never had the cash for it (being only 15!)

I am going to watch it now, thank you I hope that I don't screw up my CPU when I eventually get to do it. Though it'll be a good idea to practice on my E2140 before my Q6600/Q9550 if I bother lapping it!

If you watch all the parts the entire way through you wont screw anything up. Just watch all the parts first the entire way through and you will be all set.

I have decided I think.. I want to get water cooling for Xmas, with addins from my pocket money so I am going to settle for that and a Q9550 probably for my birthday and then add in more cash for a PSU!
