Please Help

Today I woke up to find my basement filled with 6 inches of water, the location I happen to keep my computer. I removed all the electronic equipment and it has been drying for awhile. The computer was powered on during this event.

I've tried powering on the pc and it will run through the post and start up and run programs but I'm getting graphical distortion which is what I'm currently concerned about. I have the Antec P90 case so only the hard drive and the power supply came into contact with any water.

Before I get flamed...yes I know I'm an idiot...

Thanks for any help or support for this.

How long has it been drying for?

I'd have had it in an airing cupboard for at least 3/4 days, then gone to town with a hair dryer.

Make sure everything is bone dry.

12 hours...I've got a fan running on it, and I'll have a hair dryer soon. I won't touch it again for a few days.

12 hours is definantly not enough and to be honest dont think a fan is making much of a difference!, you should og used one of those electric heaters that blow hot air out, Also if you have turned your pc on while it was wet its very likely damage has already been done, but keep it off for another 48hrs then give it a shot

just as ham said use a blow drier
