Scratch that... I've just had a read around and it seems it's not essential to have played the previous ones to play the new one.

After finishing Mass Effect and Oblivion (After well over a year) I just longing for more good RPGs.

Am looking forward to this. Might even try to struggle through the rest of MGS so I don't have that burdon to worry about whilst playing FO3

I'm well looking forward to this! I was a big fan of Fallout 1 + 2, so much detail and am glad to hear the old writers have teamed up with Bethesda to make this one. I've got a week off when it comes out so hope it don't get delayed
