Intel Wolfdale E0 stepping look like champion overclockers

Intel will hopefully be releasing the Core 2 Duo E8600 with stock speed of 3.33ghz later this month, and early reports from Taiwanese site Coolaler.com show it can reach 5ghz on air!

With 1.6v that will toast your chip pretty quickly though. How bout OCs using reasonable voltages?

True. 1.45v is the max for 45nm so it would be nice to see some stable OC using 24/7 voltage. 5ghz is impressive though, I imagine 4.5ghz is do-able on 1.45v.

Very impressive tbh.

Like to see some bench results in comparison to different steppers, on the same mobo/etc, just for kicks.

Bout time OC3D had a cpu in for hammer-testing ! hehe

I wouldnt care about pushing those speeds and voltages if i could pull a huge L20 tank outa my ass (ouch)
