I don`t personally think under 16s should have a internet`d pc outside of where parents can keep an eye on what they`re doing the whole time.

Now that`s me being ideal. I don`t want kids, so I`ll never have to observe it.

Parents don`t overlook these things, and many similar things, and when things do `happen` - here`s my reasoning - there are lobbies to censor stuff, ban stuff - when frankly if u were taking care of ur kids urself, there would be no need. As a "blame some1 else" society, where there is not acceptance of responsibility for own actions. "Why aren`t the government doing something about this awfull thing?".

Arguably I also don`t think they should have mobile phones. Bit contraversial, but that`s my opinion. Most of the things that happen over the internet can similarly happen over the phones.

I don`t believe in censorship - at-all, I believe in people taking responsibility and being held responsible for their actions or non-actions. To very extreme degrees many may think.

I see the internet being a real shadow of what it once was in times to come.

This guy ? Well he`s a nut anyway, but there are fair points to be made.

I agree with rast tbh. There are far too many irresponsible parents who do not monitor the websites thier children view, the games they play and in many circumstances, do not even care to question them buying thier children grand theft auto!

I think though, that Mr. Luce's statements, although in general true, miss the fact that many parents do not know, or turn a blind eye to their childrens upbringing, this is why mothers who complain about social work taking thier children annoys me, Women don't have the RIGHT to have children like they seem to think, the problems we face (in the UK atleast) as a society are born out of poorly brought up children, from troubled households.

Mr Luce's comments on technology being a "terrorist" are however, plainly the words of a man blinded by religion. What cause does the root of Islamic Terrorism have? Religion, What of the continuing Israeli and Palisitinial conflicts- Religion. Religion, in my oppinion is the root cause of most of the wars and conflicts we face today.

Every time we let unsupervised media into our homes and into our kids’ minds, we have invited a terrorist into our home.
I think he is talking in terms of possibilities, yet he does seem a bit over the top (as I don't think EVERY video etc is linked to terrorism )

There is a possibility that kids could get onto terrorist propoganda etc, but tbh he seems a bit fanatical. Also I think there is a small possibility that kids will watch media linked with terrorism.

All in all, it seems like another fanatical christian trying to preach and command people how to be good parents. (could be seen as shock tactics altho he seems to have more comedic value than anything else)

Altho as Rasto said, there are some points to be made like control of kids computers, but at the end of the day it's up to the parents to act as they see fit.

Reason i say 16 is that at this moment in time, you can join the army and get married (although you aren`t allowed to buy beer, but you can smoke), year after you can kill some1 in a car, vote the year after.

They`re all crazy ages for me. I`d make them all 18, arguably 21. Not just cos I like to wind people up, but I don`t see too much maturity of age and life before then.

But also I believe in police walking the streets instead of skipping by places in their cars to avoid anything (on the way to the chippy where I usually see them). Fat, going by the adopted media`s obesity index thing, coppers should be forced to walk the streets until they`re no longer deemed fat. I consider this being fit for work and the work you are doing. Lets presume they need to chase someone - no chance. But then I want the old rule of them ALL being over 6 foot tall - including wpcs unless they just type. I don`t particularly see the sense in 4 foot 6 wpcs, particularly on a rowdy cardiff night with prop-forward style drunk guys causing a ruckus - of course they call backup - but then why not just use the backup and sack the wpcs ? All tax payers money.

On the other side of things, I`d equip them with cattle-prods. Any stick, any abuse, any1 acting up on the streets - and they have free reign to use them. Guess u could be 4`6 with a cattle prod.

Extreme ideas ? Rant ?
