7/16th ID tube on 1/2" Barbs

I've heard recommendations to use 7/16ths ID tube on 1/2" barbs for a snug, leak free, fit. I was wondering if anyone here has done this and can testify to the usefulness of this method?

yes this is correct, and the fit on the pipe is more then "snug" once youg teit on there you will have issues getting it off

I had to heat the hose with hot water to get the tubing over D-tek barbs not to mention the D5 barbs........

There as tight as a duck's @r$E now :rollingla....but I still used zip ties! :rocker:
