I still hate Orange
Well some people might know I hate Orange. Had their broadband and it was laggy and kept disconnecting. I am glad I have moved to Be and its great now I have my new router and modem set up.
I am on the Dolphin 35 (don't know how a mammal relates to my phone, but hey) and pay £35 a month for 600 anytime minutes and unlimited text.
The past few months I have worked out that 200 minutes and 200 texts would do me, and I went on the Orange website to see what they had to offer. I have now had my contract for a year, so I can reduce it I thought.
I found the Dolphin 25 (for new customers) which is 200 minutes and unlimited text for £20 a month. Great I can save £15 a month I thought. So I logged into my account and under 'change my service plan' the only options were the same or higher line rental them I am paying at the moment. But interestingly I can change to the Dolphin 35 (yes what I am already on) and get 750 minutes, unlimited texts and unlimited internet browsing. So I could have had a better package for the same money a month! Great one Orange for letting me know, f**kers.
So I clicked on the 'best plan' link; and bam... 'sorry this service is not available, please call Orange'. So I did, and it gave me some pre recorded lecture on how Orange are committed to finding me the 'best plan' and they review my plan every 6 months. I have never even heard of best plan, so obviously they aint done it for me! Then it told me how Orange values its current customers and how to log into my account on their website and sort my 'best plan' from there. OMFG I CANT BECAUSE IT IS NOT AVAILABLE!!! *sigh*
So I continue on hold and get through to the most depressed call centre operator ever. I thought, well if I had your job I would be depressed too tbh, having to work for Orange. Anyway, I asked to lower my plan and he said, 'Because you are on a £35 contact you can only drop down to a plan 1 below, so a £30 plan'. But any of the £30 plans isn't my 'best plan' is it? The £20 one is. Jesus, what a joke. So I have had to lower it to the Canary 30 plan (£30 a month) which is 400 minutes, 500 texts and unlimited calls to Orange mobiles; until I finish my contract. What takes the biscuit is for a new customer, the Canary 30 is only £25 a month. So your not valuing your current customers, are you! Just screwing them over!
The only reason I am with Orange is because of my 2 Magic Numbers who I can call for free.
I was with O2 before I joined Orange and I kinda wish that I had not changed because then I could get Be/O2 Broadband cheaper as well.
Rant Over.

Been with o2 for over 8 years myself and despite having ups-and-downs with them they have been overall a decent network.
I wouldn't dream of changing now tbh.

T-Mobile is alright, although I read somewhere that the top network operator to have the most customers is:
1. Vodafone
2. O2
3. T-Mobile
4. Don't Know
5. Don't Care
The new T-Mobile TV adverts seems to be taking the 'P' out of other network it seems.
Anyways T-Mobile has a new tariff which I do like.

Only ever been with Voda or Orange on contract... Orange are g@y. Voda never gave me problems.
I had a similar issue recently with Orange, I'm on Panther 45 - 900mins, unlimited text.
I caught the Gadget Show which stated you could ring your provider and ask them to reassess your needs and they would look at your calls and offer you something better/let you change your tariff to one of the new ones. Great.
So I rang Orange and gave them the spiel. Didn't work. I argued to to$$ with them for 30 mins... CBA going into it but after about 1hr I gave up, told them their customer service stank and asked how much it would cost me to leave. £400. Gheys.

I know how u feel, their customer support is probably the worst I have encountered. They just don't seem to want to help you.

15 THOUSAND MINS! And you go over and get charged £160 pcm? Are you freaking serious? I'm pretty sure you'll die of a brain tumour at that rate!
I had like 500 mins 1000 texts and STC with Voda and I went over every now and again! You must talk a lot lol

lol, i do usually go over on texts more than mins..
i get 750 mins, but i only ever ring people evenings or weekends
3 mins gives me an hour
so if you work it out
750 / 3 x 60 = 15,000
