Q9450 unlocked multiplier

does this look rite to you lot?..

i thought Q9450 has a locked Multiplier at 8 but mine seems to be at 7 :s

which is weird?

With the Intel chips, the multipliers are locked upwards, but not downwards. You can go down to 6 on them. Not weird.

Have you checked in the BIOS to make sure?

n00b question heading your way lol... my cpu is at 2.6 on x7 multiplier if it bump it up to 8 and lower the FSB this should decrease my temps rite?

I would leave the FSB.. it is best to have a high one because it will improve everythings perfomance.
