XFX 9800gx2 Black Edition or GTX 280 ???

I am in a pickle !

I have XFX 9800 GX2 Black Edition which is Heavily overclocked...

I have a opportunity to X-changing it with NO EXTRA COST to an Gainward GTX 280 ... ? Should i do it ?? And if Yes then why .. ?

Please help !

The only reason I'd swap is because the GTX280 will probably be worth a few more quid if you decide to sell it on.

Also I wouldn't be surprised if nvidia get slack with driver support for the 9800GX2 over the next few months.

You're probbably right, but performence wise... whey are so simmilar, but i think that single GPU what performes just as good as GX2 which is SLI, is a better way to go...

Actually i do wanna trade, so if anyone can convince me otherwise please do ;-)

Trade, even though the gx2 is better overall in games, the 280 is single core (so no sli/microstuttering issues) and will hold its value more...

+1, only reason why I'd upgrade is to get some more $$ for selling it and grabbing a 4870X2 .

The GX2 does perform better in most games. THe GTX wouldn't be a large downgrade though, and as I've said earlier. You can sell it and get something with way better bang for the buck.
