Anyone had one of these - a Red Screen Of Death in Vista SP1?

I was just in the middle of some Bioshock benching when an RSOD flashed up. Never seen it before so it kinda took me by surprise.

do they still have BSODS? and RSODS are just for a different kind of error?

or have they changed it totally to RSOD? If so somebody should tell mr gates that just because its red it doesnt make it any less of a problem...

If its not a beta copy it's a boot loader error I believe

Never had a RSoD. The only times I've had a BSoD in vista are : 1) I knowingly messed up a driver 2) Bad OC.

Yeah I was reading something similar on Wikipedia. Strange thing is its the RTM version, and a boatloader error seems weird in the middle of playing BIOSHOCK :s

Tell you what, Vista has been having a few spac attacks with me recently. That tweaked nvidia driver (the one of the 280 with cuda for f@H) keeps crashing out and bsoding on crysis... Might have to roll back to an official driver :/ I had a raid error the other day too... Might have to reformat!

Anyway is it all sorted Jim?
