Saw it yesterday.
I feel the same as you, about the WWII scene is getting boring.
I really wanted it to be like a Hybird, present time with flashbacks to WWII, like a ancestry thing.
Well, it should be okay.. just hope they release it on PC and it has an amazing MP feature like CoD4.
Edit: I'm not sure on the news post, but the video is not working. For me anyway.

COD4 was a good game.
This trailer looks pretty and same`ole.
I`d like to see a "World at war" thing, where u could be any nation in the world. Fight with a budget or something, allying, a bit of politics, the whole-world map to contend with (I mean small areas), based like 2010+, agents.
Something less "pretty" and more thought orientated (whilst still being semi-pretty  )

Another point which I wanna add is that I think...
If destructable environments is going to be implemented, I think it would ruin the whole experience.. CoD4's piercing was fine; wood, sheet metal and plaster. I thought it was perfect.

same old same old....with so much scope for pushing it further into the future I think doing yet another WWII epic is just opting for safe sales over the holiday period..my my how drab...
I'm sure more original games like spore may reignite the developors enthuisiasm and stop looking at safe sales over imagination...but then again I suppose all the developers want a nice xmas bonus...
