The P5KC can do DDR2 and DDR3 but is a crap overclocker and can't run DDR2 ram faster than DDR2-960.

Isn`t it true that the mobo`s 45 (or 48 for that matter) chipset has to be "downgraded" in order to sport ddr2 ? whereas a ddr3 soley mobo would fly as intended ?

Is interesting for peoples in a conundrum over memory, and it`s been done b4 with ddr/ddr2, but I`ve never personally seen the point in the dual board tbh.

Its good IMO as atm DDR2 prices are just awesome... but DDR3 is coming down quickly

What I don't see the point of is 8meory slots... like anyone fills the 4 normally. 2 of each would of been fine!
