Maybe i'm stating the obvious, but this could actually be a large step forward for linux gaming.

Gamers have always seemed to favor game servers hosted on linux over windows, so maybe now that they have the option to play some top FPS games via linux, they'll make the switch - even if only for the "1337'ness" of it.

Can't see that being bad. The only reason a lot of people stick to windows (including myself to an extent) is the games.

Yeah I agree. Valve gets to increase its penetration even further into the market and Linux/Mac users get some Source lovin' the easy way

Agreed, the main reason i cba to go to Linux is gaming. Whilst a lot of games can work, most don't.

Could be a good reason to leave vista - i mean ubuntu runs like a dream and looks wiked tbf
