Somehow cramming in 3 loops :P

Some funky acrylic fun

This is Martin's build (Mizpah), please don't use this thread to slate the 780i or triple SLI idea... theres already a thread going should you feel the urge to comment upon it

-----

Part 1 - Hardware

XFX 780i Motherboard

Scan finally game through with the goods

Wooo no more stupid push pins!!!

2 x 8800GTS 512MB (G92 Based)

2 x 150GB WD Raptor's

SATA DVD-RW

Watercooling Parts

UPDATE 2

EK Supreme fitted onto XFX 780i motherboard

EK Full Cover Block fitted to the GTS (G92)

SLI? Yes please

Danger Den HD Block with 2x 150GB WD Raptors fitted

UPDATE

As you can see i'm slowly gettin round to updating all these threads, I swear I actually spend more time taking photos and uploading them than I actually do on the case itself sometimes!!

Got all the case internals back from powdercoating, not much to see as it's currently in bits.. can't put it back together until the outer case has been coated!

Don't think I posted a pic of this before I took it to get coated but basically this is the middle divider than runs through the case.

Originall it was split into 3 smaller sections so I whipped out the dremel out made it into one big area, the black acrylic false floor will cover this up afterwards

Rich has also made a start on the acrylic etching.. this will go nicely behind a laser cut side panel and be lit up with either white or UV LED's!!

Thats all for now folks!

Now I know some of you are gonna notice that it is no longer Tri-SLI so I have taken the liberty of quoting Martin's reason for doing so off the WCUK forums.

This give me a real issue buying into G80 Based 8800's, now that its believed that the step-up window wont take me any further than a possible G92 based 2*Mio GTX - possibly to be released in April. As such I have decided to be sensable (how I hate that word), and limit myself to 2*G92 GTS's (EVGA) to cut costs now, and save for a major upgrade to 3-way G100's in August. So sorry folks, its not going to be 3-way on day one (/sob), but after much thought I think this is the way to go for now.

If I get itchy, and the 8800 G92 GTX's emerge, and are good then I can always look at stepping up to them!

We also have some other tricks up our (read his) sleeve, but I am sure he will reveal em when the time is right!!!

After hearing that OcUK have got a 70% RMA rate on the XFX 780i I'm gonna be firing it up shortly to see what it can hit.

Yeh i'm a little cautious about that myself, gonna change that tubing to 7/16" and get some clips on it though so it should be good.

Will be modding the roof to accommodate a 360mm rad over the weekend and then it's just a case of waiting for the side panels to come back from laser cutters before getting the outsides powder coated orange!! (RAL 2009 to be exact)

Stay tuned!
