Help With Asus Striker q6600 ocz 4gb overclock

new to overclocking i can only get my new system to just over 2.9 gig running idle 32ocm ish and under load 42oc ish

mem running at just over 900 mhz

mem is linked to front side bus volt for cpu is 1.31 and mem 1.85 have raised these when trying to run faster but set back to these levels when at 2.9 as runs sweet

when ever i try to hit 3 gig or over system just will not boot locking up on post with an error on mem

q6600 is g0 revision

i have tried diff voltage on mem and cpu after reading diff articles but none seem to work also droped ram speed as low as 800 but did not help

mem rated to work at 1000mhz and ddr 8500 check spec on profile

has anyone have a sim system who could sugest some settings?

i have tried to put info relevent if and more required let me know would like to get a bit more out of chip

the striker wont work with 4gb ram over 940mhz, and thats a fact, i used to have the board and tried everything.

Next, you need a helluva volt increase in most areas to get past 2.7 odd ghz with the striker and quads, i got myn to 3ghz once, ill try and find the list of volts for you.

Here we go, read through this and jott down some settings, although i would recomend using water on the motherboard

as for cpu, that thread is the best advice.

is yours watercooled or are you just lucky? a lot of people cant get theres to work at those settings without water cooling the whole thing?

Also, with that amount of volts it cant be good for the board.

Having said that, i tried it on mine when i had it, you get desperate

Damn, Might have to try that!

(The P5N32-E SLI is almost the same as the striker... and in fact uses a modified Striker bios.. )

So hopefully these settings will work for me. Nice one Mullet!

think i will try playing with it on x8 settings

and see what happens!

think your right about the 1000hz when i go over 2.9 gig the mem must go over 1000 and thats when i hit problems maybe running x8 will get past that

will let you know what happens

thanks!
