motherboard pins for cpu suppose to not be straight?

are the pins on the motherboard for the cpu suppose to lay at an angle towards the triangle corner?

I'm really worried. they look neatly angled so hoping this is normal. last time i touched a cpu the pins were actually on it itself and straight. PLEASE help. I am soo soo worried and hoping so badly this is part of the design.

Phew. Thank you for that Ionicle. I was REALLY panicking then.

It is exactly like that one you have photo'd.

It is a Maximus Formula SE.

Was getting worried and ordered it from overseas (Germany) pre water blocked from MIPS.

And it's getting close to XMAS for sorting out problems.

Is it ok to have touched the pins really lightly?

I may have done this no in my panick (ARGH!). Not altered them or damaged them or anything. Only lightly touched.

Wouldn`t make a habit of it. Especially after a) eating fried finger licking chicken and b) after sliding across a carpet with a high polyprolene content.

Same with memory tho, probably be ~ok~

Don`t do it in purpose !

Ok I get the picture. LOL

Thanks again for the photos Ionicle!!!!

Greatly Appreciated. Really put my mind at ease.

You can see how I was worried though, as the pins do look like they have been bent downwards to one side when I expected them to stick straight up like a needle vertically.

Especially with that S shape and what looks like blunt hooked tips.

I had a panick attack for an hour or two then [PHEW]
