Arrived today put them up straight away, all i can say is WOW>!!!!!

This system is amazing and im only using onboard sound for now, im getting a sound card soon :)
 
Ty, it is huge.. 3 volume our of 20 and the mother complains.. (N).. haha.. The cables are really long and i have managed to tuck them away nicely in the roof on my bed.
 
So happy that you got your z-5500 and my z-2300 on the way to new home :D anyway a quick advice, go easy on speakers for the first week, u should really run them in (just like new cars and bikes), well thats at least what ive been told by a friend of mine whos really in to this sort of stuff... :)

COngratz on ur purchase, ill be getting mine near christmas. I love them so much, (only tested it in stores). but i no they are awesome!!

cuz i have these Z-2200 speakers, 250 watts. Max iv taken it is 1/2 volume, and eveyrthing is shaking. i cant wait to see what those feel like :)

Nice bit of kit you have there, lol don't blame your Mum. The Sub is on the floor so you know.. it will go through the floor easy peasy! :D
 
in terms of power and everything, how do they compare to ur Z-2300? i think my 2200 are a little less powerful than ur 2300's, so i wana see the diff :D
 
Volume 3 out of 20 and my mum complains.. ALOT more power, movies sound immense. Games Phwaoorrrr.. Music awesome. They are a big improvement over my Z-2300's We are also thinking about putting the same speakers down stairs with the t.v. Definately worth the buy orb.!!

If you put the volume on PC on lowest and then put up volume using the controller thingy everything sounds alot better.

If you dont do that already. :)

That's odd; because the general rule of thumb with audio is to keep the signal line as high as possible (without clipping of course) so that there is less noise amplified up.

I run with optical though so there is no noise :D
 
I thought the general rule of thumb was to keep output as high as possible so amplification isn't needed as much?
 
Sick dude, my set of Z-5500's are on the FedEx truck and out for delivery as we speak! I'll post pix later. :D
