What about boxing day?
Is it a good idea to get my new comp on boxing day?
or is it chaos.. was going to get it custom built. tigerdirect / canadacomputers.
would i save a lot of money by doing this? is it worth it =S

I think you'd be better off waiting until January, as more companies will likely be offering a larger range of discounted goods.
If the next range of gpu's and cpu's are going to be out in Q1 2008. then prices should drop prior to their launch, so you may end up saving quite a bit if you're willing to wait

hmm alright
so you think it'd be better to go early january than boxing day?
im picking up the parts in the stores btw.. not buying online, im shopping online tho (tigerdirect/canadacomputer), does that change anything?

He's going to buy online, but there are more large PC chain stores in Canada so he can go and pick them up at web prices.

its actually a bit cheaper.. im buying online but picking them up from the store so i save the shipping
i also think they might build it for you if you purchase it at the store, so that'll also save some aggrivation.

I am currently doing my training at the Metro Centre but I am moving to the Gateshead store when it opens on the 27th of November.
