Purevideo confuzion

Afaik, if u have a GF6 and under card, u can use a software decoder that can utilize the hardware to take the overhead (???) from the cpu when playing dvd/movies.

Afaik, again, the GF7+ cards apparently work with this, many having PurevideoHD, although u goto the nVidia site and it gives information about Purevideo software compatible for the GF6- cards. (software of which Scan is selling atm from silly prices to mid prices).

Am I to understand that, from some of the reading, the GF7+ cards don`t need the decoder software as long as the movieplayer uses DXa2.0 something-or-other ?!?!!!

Why isn`t anything u need to use Purevideo(HD) with the card u buy ? As otherwize the card doesn`t utilize it.. iukwim...

Is it, what`s going on, I am so confuzed right now I could kill some1 by mistake ??!?!?!

Any1 know the full story of this purevideo/purevideoHD/encoder/decoded/dvd/software/hardware/wtEf ?!?! I can`t get a solid answer reading the nVidia site.
