It'll be interesting to see if this forces Sony' hand to significantly cut the price on the PS3

That's such crap...why does the PAL region always have to suffer by either paying through the bottom for something or experiencing major delays to receive the equivalent.

I dont understand its like the UK market dosent matter to them.. so they enjoy ripping us off. Its so stupid. But then again here in britain we pay too much for everything...

It's not just the UK market mate...Australia is exactly the same. Hence the reason I said PAL

Ahhh i never knew aus was PAL ... its silly... why cant we get the cheap prices for a change!!!!

We don't get the cheap prices with these because HD-DVD is doing ok over here where as it's pretty much bombed in the US compared to blu-ray.
I'd defo buy one of the drives if we got the same deal the US is getting.
