More Asus Eee PC information appears

The ASUS Eee PC appears on track for an August release worldwide. Anyone else going to get one besides me?

Wow!

Very nice bit of kit.. but I don't like the power consumption, 3hours flatout?

Not enough!

But otherwise very very nice!

Battery is a killer!

I'd like one but it is just a toy that I don't need! $200 equates to ~£100. I'd rather put that towards a new graphics card or holiday... Basically something else.

They are so cool though

I am looking to get one to drag around campus with me. I really like the little thing, and it looks to not be too slouchy on performance.

Edit: Looking at the article, looks like they are running KDE or at least using their icons. I got a good laugh out of his saying it looked like Windows XP lol. KDE seems like a weird choice though, I would have thought XFCE would have been a better choice in this case.

I really want one, but as most people I have no real use for it.

I guess around uni next year and that kind of thing. Cheap so it doesn't matter if I destroy it in a drunken rage.

Still it looks so nice

i wish the whole lid was filled by the screen, i dont like how it has a big boarder around it. Mind you, suppose it was done for cost and saving a tad battery life.

When I first looked I thought it was like a nintendo DS only with a keyboard

It looks pretty cool tho for the price.

The size of it looks quite good aswell.

Think I'll stick with a laptop for now tho

The screen seems really small aswell? there's a massive black border?
