OC/BIOS problems/questions
Dunno exactly where to post this but here we go, feel free to move it if it has to.
I was able to oc my E6700 to 3.0GHz not too long ago (300x10), iddle temp 37C, load 48/50C after 30 minutes of orthos, so I was pretty satisfied.
Then I recently updated my Bios (Award) to its newest version (F6) and apparently I cannot get the same oc anymore, the PC won't boot!
Something strange too, I also noticed that in the updated BIOS I cannot use the F10 key to save and exit as I used to do, I have to use the menu. And the CTRL+F1 to bring advanced options is not working either, indeed the Bios starts in advanced mode!
So could it be a problem with a buggy bios update? If so can I safely reflash with the previous bios version? And finally do I have to clear the DMI when I flash the bios?
Or is something wrong with my CPU or mobo?
TIA

You should be able to re-flash back to your previous BIOS revision, unless the new BIOS doesn't allow BIOS roll-back to previous versions. Was it a beta BIOS that you downloaded? Does it say anywhere in the release notes that the BIOS cannot be rolled back?

It is officially listed in the Bios updates of Gigabyte website for my MB and does not seem to be a beta version.
No information included in the bios update files and I updated mine through the gigabyte @Bios windows utilities (check and download the latest bios from gigabyte server and flash the bios from windows).
I tried to contact gigabyte support 4 days ago but no answer from them yet!

Rolled back to previous BIOS, version F5 and now I can get the same OC as before! Weird...
I did clear the DMI this time, maybe I will try again to update the BIOS to F6 and clear the DMI and see if I keep my OC or not...
