Anybody heard...

....about the new TB outbreak here in the US? Supposedly that crap was wiped out in the US already and now its back. According to the news they have 2 ppl quarantined in Alabama (i think) and there was a kid here from Texas that was takin to Denver?? yea, need to watch the news on it more. They arent really making a big deal about it but i think it is a big deal. A disease that was wiped out just all of a sudden coming back? And one case flew in from Africa to Canada, and drove to New York where he was takin in. Hmm alot of friends a family think thats germ war-fare.

it has never been eliminated lol, it may have been taken out of USA but its not that hard for an infected person to fly into USA and infect somebody else. i think TB is pretty contageous?

Yea thats what i was saying. It was eliminated here in the US and anybody with it trying to fly in would have to be treated first then try again. And the one guy flew into Canada and drove a rental car here and when they cought him he had some BS excuse. Also, kinda wierd how a kid here in the Dallas area just randomly gets it when nobody around him has it. You can only guess what ethinic class he is :/ And supposedly its deadly if not treated.

It's fairly bad but it is treatable. TB is the reason spitting was made illegal in the UK

Wow are you kidding? Spitting? But yea, you gotta realize, nobody is taking any of this seriously. How can a disease just show up randomly in 2 different areas of the states at the same time thats been cleared up for years. Gotta think about it for a second.

Bunch of different ppl i talk to about this kinda stuff says it sounds like a light case (or the start) of a type of germ warfare. If it was something else and not connected at all then yea conincidence, but not this.

I think you're overreacting a bit. It's just fine. If we see 100,000 cases, then worry.

As I understand it. TB is not a common disease for us as it is stopped due to vacinations. It does cause deaths in 3rd world countries but we have more advanced medicine to combat TB.

Yea we do, but the point is i find it kinda wierd a random sand guy flys to Canada, drives a rental car to New York and gets cought with a BS excuse. (Sorry for sand guy term)

And then a disease thats been killed in the US starts sprouting up. Come on he went from Canada to New York and a kid at the school my sister works at gets quarantined as well around the same time which is on the other side of the country (sorta). Its the "we'll wait till we see something" attitude thats getting us nowhere in this country. Im usualy the guy saying, your to paranoid, forget it. But right now, nah ive seen to much already thats making it look like were going to get secretly attacked on our land while were not paying attention.
