Poor speeds since they took over Ntl. Paying £25 for 4mb and its so slow.....lol.. pathetic.

I've still got the basic 2 meg.
Gets really slow sometimes but its usually alright.
Modem gets horribly hot which is a bit worrying though..

Im on tiscali max 8mb, but it is v bad at this time of the day, i am downloading at 24kbps on a 8mb line, I HATE tiscali, its super fast in the middle of the night but so slow at this time.

my virgin is downloading at 28K its pathetic im really not happy, and all the call centres are in india... Usually its ok but the last couple of days its been so lame...maybe they are having technical problems in our area.

My ntl->vm has been solid since it was installed, some decade or so ago.
Infact I been looking at my modem in the sense that it`s ceiling is meant to be 5m, but I download @ 10m+ - so I have no idea what`s going on there.
Couple with that the less than low-bit encryption cos of it`s age, it`s a good job I got routers and walls b4 any pc gets involved lol
hehe I need a new 1 obviously (should start a thread in networks right now actually)
Erm, think they secretly bumped us 10m to 16 - not sure, sounded like a rumor and I haven`t tested it.
