Your fps in games will go off a cliff in a 4x slot.

a GPU can use 16x, so only giving it 4x to use will limit it.
Giving a soundcard 16x of bandwidth will not make any difference, since the soundcard will still only use 1x of it.

Maybe that helped a little..? :/

Ok, I ll just put the x1 soundcard in the x4 slot (as shown in the image of #26).
