I'm betting that DFI is going to have tweaked them to produce reasonably similar performance, so neither one makes the other one a waste of R&D.

The thing about the RD600 is that it has like twice as many tweakable settings as the 680i which should mean more overall control of max clocks. At least the SLI users will have a true SLI compatible motherboard that's actually good
