When I was away at college for a year I would keep my desktop up for regular intervals of 1.5-3 weeks. It was running most all the time, I would just reboot if I needed to or if I felt it was time

Im constantly doing something to my server and PC so they arent up for long periods of time. My laptop is usualy always on but i move it around alot so it gets shut off sometimes too.
