High end parts are easy:
Intel Core2Duo Extreme QX6700 quadcore CPU.
nVidia 2x8800GTX GPU in SLi.
Corsair Dominator PC2-8888 2GB or 4GB memory kit.
Any 680i motherboard since they are all physically the same.

in low end i saw a 2800+ s754 sempron for £20 on scan.co.uk
that may be lower than necessary, but that is still an insane deal.

Yeah it's a good deal but I think too low.
Added my 2 cents worth for a start. Please post in here (even mods so we can argue about it first) then we'll change if required

looking sweet, interesting choice of AM2 for uber budget tho, i think the same sort of performance lineup can be bought for cheaper on s939/775.
However with Am2 you do have the advantage of already having ddr2 when you do decide to upgrade. I think it depends on finances at the time.

AM2 is also backwards compatible with AM2+ & HT3.0 CPU's, so it's not going to be too "behind the times" when those CPU's come out.
I'm loving my AM2 rig. A nice refresh over s939.

We could do with some totals on the rig specs imo, just so people know what we consider "budget" etc..
