x-plosion is a lot better card but for gaming, x-fi owns it, everything else, x-plosion is better

And I'm a gamer.
tbh if you want amazing audio you don't use you're PC and an MP3 collection to achieve it which makes the HDA a little redundant

One of the new lower-end X-Fi cards? (That don't seem to be able to record anything)
The Audigy SE? (No 24/192 compared to the Audigy 2 ZS, and no firewire)
