IDnet problems
Anyone else found their IDnet connections at a crawl today?
I can't get more than 16K/s out of my IDnet ADSLMax line - normally 160K/s !

All good here. Quite possibly a problem at your exchange. May be worth contacting IDNet

Good old Mirriam at IDnet is kicking BT for me. Their speed test came back:
Quote:
Test1 comprises of Best Effort Test:
IP profile for your line is - 135 kbps
DSL connection rate: 448 kbps(UP-STREAM) 6048 kbps(DOWN-STREAM)
Actual IP throughput achieved during the test was - 100 kbps

Yup - I can actually SEE web pages building up down the screen, and not flash-based multimedia sites either, plain html text

Yay - Miriam @ IDNet set me straight. It was a problem with BT who had locked my line down to minimum speed. Apparently it's not that rare with BT...
