While this does sound like something which may happen, I wouldn't trust anything off the inquirer .

Maybe AMD will invest some cash into ATIs programers and theyll write some real drivers.

Smart move imo. A collaboration of this kind is truly exciting

Agreed. We could easily be looking at the most powerful cpu/gpu combinations ever imagined with a merger like this. Intel's gaming market would be in for a doozy if this happens, even if they do have Conroe
I think if this goes down Intel will probably start eyeing nVidia for itself.

Yeah agreed also Frag. I was actually thinking that Intel were jumping into bed with ATI, if you look at all the current Intel/ATI crossfire boards that are being brought out. But this confirms the opposite...Looks like it's gonna be Intel/nVidia SLI systems, even though they didn't seem to take off that well initially.

Does this also mean we could see All-in-one boards. CPU and decent intergrated graphics built into a board. Then all you'd need would be ram psu and hdd for the guts of a PC

Possibly, but considering AMD doesn't make motherboards I would assume everything will stay how it is now in the integrated mobo world, crap video comes standard
