Greetings all.

So im getting ready for a couple upgrades to my unfinished rig (in sig).
Its getting a new case(P820), PSU(Hale90v2), GPU(GTX780), Mouse(RAT7MMO), Mouse mat(Glide9), and soundcard.
(AsusD2X)
Im now kinda thinking about replacing my good ol Logitech G15 keyboard.

Theres nothing wrong with it, not wearing out or anything dispite its age, but its just somthing i might consider replacing if i can find somthing i like.

Thing is, i wouldnt mind going to a mechanical keyboard like i had back in the day (early 90's). However dispite it being labeled as a gimmick by most gamers, i do actually use the LCD display on my G15 constantly, it helps me keep an eye on my OC's (temps voltages , loads etc). Whilst most would just use a second monitor for a simular purpose, i opted for one big screen over multiple smaller ones (42" Plasma), so i spent £1000 on one big screen instead of ~£300 each for 3 smaller ones.
End result is, i would buy a new keybaord if i could find a good mechanical keyboard with built in LCD display.
I havnt been able to find one though :P

I really like the look of the Cyborg/MadCatz Strike 7 , but its not mechanical and it costs waaaay to much.

So if any1 has any sugestions/knows of a mechanical keyboard with a LCD display, please let me know.

Cheers

As far as I know, there isn't a mechanical with an LCD. As a G510 user, I too think the LCD is gimmicky and I use it all the time. Either monitoring temps thru the Core Temp applet or monitoring frame rates thru the FRAPS applet which also has a real time graph, using just the CPU/RAM meter and have even used the clock a time or two.

And ya know what else, I love gimmicky stuff like that. I make no apologies that I like cool looking stuff. Never understood the line of thinking that you have to use a boring as crap looking keyboard or youre a poser.

The Logitech G710+ has all the features of the G510 aside from the LCD. Im going to end up with one eventually. I also have a Black Widow Ultimate and I switch out keyboards (and mice although I find myself using this Sensei more and more. Most accurate mouse Ive ever had) every few weeks for a change of pace. I get bored using the same keyboard and mouse all the time.

I also agree that there is something about these Logitech boards. I prefer a mechanical for its sturdy feel but my G510 has the coolest feel to the key strokes. Very smooth and almost soft. As much as I love my Black Widow, I still have to break this G510 out every couple weeks just to feel it.
