Leak!!!!

So while I was messing around with my comp today I bumped one of the hoses and of course it popped off. I immediately just pulled the plug out of the back of the power supply. I don't think anything got fried but I did get water on both video cards and the mobo. My question is how long does everyone think I should wait before I turn it back on? I was thinking 24-48 hours.

Until its dry would be the best answer?

Anyhow, if you have an airing cupboard in your house (a dry heat) then bung it in there for 24 hours, should dry it out nicely.

Well I am sort of stuck out in the middle of the Pacific ocean right now I think I will just leave it off for 24 hours to let anything dry that I didn't get cleaned up. I have used plenty of towels and blew it down with 120psi air but still want to be on the safe side.

try to get the case fans working of an external powersource, then atleast the moist has a better chance of leaving the case and also an airflow helps drying out any water on those hard to dry places.

a tablefan works even better even if it has no heat.

and atleast 24 hour, if thr air where the computer is is cold and more on the moist ide then 48 hours is better.

Yeah i've had a couple of spilages, and some kitchen tissue along with a good long blast from a hairdryer, coupled with 24hrs of 'off-time' should sort it.

Well not so good news I guess. It is time to lay DFI Venus #909 and an Opteron 170 to rest. After closer inspection I found a burnt spot near the bottom of my mobo. I then took everything out of the case and swapped all of the parts over to my expert board, everything worked except for the 170. $650 blown so fast it hurts I haven't tried to boot up on the venus yet but will in a couple of days. As of right now I am putting #917 into my good case with my 3700+. I hate having to move to a single core, but at least my 165 is coming from Monarch that was RMAd due to bent pens on arrival. Oh and I am taking the water out of it until all the stuff from Danger Den gets here.
