Which CPU?

Im looking into building a machine to use as a asterisk pbx server, reading up on what sort of spec i need, it says i need a cpu that can handle the most floating point operations. I'm a bit out of touch with how cpu's are performing at the minute, so im asking if anyone has an advice for cpu/price with good floating point handling.

Intel Pentium D 805. The cheapest dual core on the market, you can pick one up retail in USA for about $135. They can easily overclock on practically any mobo to about 3.5GHz + on stock air, 4Ghz on a good aftermarket solution such as a Thermaltake Big Typhoon, or a Thermalright XP-120.

Hmm, Scythe Ninja has gained a fairly fearsome rep. It was designed as a passive cooler, but with a 120mm fan or 2, it's right up there with the BT. The Tuniq Tower is a somewhat recent creation but tests have shown that it's way up there too.

You can buy the Ninja here

I did a quick search on the Tuniq Tower on Froogle for the UK, didn't turn up any results. Here's the manufacturer's site if you want to check it out.

Which would be better out of the AMD64 Dual Core 4200+ or the Pentium D 805 Dual Core 64 bit LGA 775 2 x 2.66 GHz 2MB.

Is for a video editing suite.

From what ive seen in reviews the intel is better for application crunching (such as video editing). Have a look at the cores on each and thier overclockability.
