So ive been having heat problems latly, since summer hit and outside temps went up, and on the advice of some members here i picked up a CM hyper 212 on sale online for $9.99 canadian....well it arived today, and i have it installed, but before i put it in i ran a 25 min stress test on the ECO to check the temps to compare to the 212.....the cpu is an I5 2500K @ 4.0 with the voltage at 1.25V
I ran a stress test useing OCCT, for 25 min to see how warm things got.
The ECO after 25 min was hitting core temps of:
Core 0: 61
Core 1: 64
Core 2: 64
Core 3: 63
After i gave it a 10 min cooldown time the idle temps were:
Core 0: 40
Core 1: 40
Core 2: 41
Core 3: 41
Now i ran the same test again for the same 25 min span with the Hyper 212
Core 0: 54
Core 1: 58
Core 2: 59
Core 3: 57
and again i gave it a cooldown (only 7 min this time...i wasnt patient anymore)
Core 0: 38
Core 1: 37
Core 2: 38
Core 3: 38
All temps are in C
So after installing the 212, im seeing idle temps just about 3C lower than the ECO, but the load temps im seeing seem to be about 5C lower.....all in all i think this was a good buy =D thanks for the advice guys
