NC10 is considered to be one of the very best (if not the best all rounder) available a couple of months ago. There are a few new models since but that's what I deduced from plenty of research.
Think people have stuck Ubuntu on there too but it's worth double checking.

I believe that is meant to be a very solid netbook too. Battery life is a major plus point on it along with the NC10. Both stand out machines.
Good job I read the title wrong as netbooks then ay in my early morning sleepyness!

been reading some about the samsung, and it apers the be one of the bests out there. Also seems to be the easier for a MAC OS install, however i believe it will require a apple air extreme mini pci-e wifi card. Anyways....Ubuntu is just much better then apple, plus im sure it will all work out of the box.
Why is the new samsung NC20 £100 more? the only difference on the specs i have found is the screen resolution from 1024x600 to 1280x800.
Is the main chipset different, or is the new one having a dual atom?
now this is weird:
anti-bacterial keyboard
Uses Silver Nano Technology to coat the keyboard with incredibly small, nano-sized silver ion powder, which makes it impossible for bacteria to live and breed. So, 99.9% of bacteria are successfully eliminated within 24 hours and the netbook remains bacteria free for even longer, creating a more hygienic personal computing environment.
Samsung want u to take ur netbook even to the toilet? :P

Now I personally have the NC20. I was looking for a netbook to replace my portable DVD player for when me and my girlfriend went on holiday. We wanted something light, with decent battery life for the flight and at night as well as something that is functional at home.
We were very close to buying the NC10 but decided we wanted the higher resolution with the bigger screen. The extra 2" on the screen isn't that important but the extra resolution makes a massive difference to general usage. Still light too.
The difference between them apart from screen is the CPU and chipset. The NC20 uses VIA's Nano CPU instead of the Intel Atom. It throttles itself down to as low as 800Mhz when not in use but generally 1.3GHz. When in use it bumps up to 1.6GHz.
Performance wise, there is very little between the two. Atom wins on some things whereas the Nano wins on others. The Nano is having to power a larger resolution though.
