GCSE's..

english was tourture, my hand felt like it was to fall off, but atleast we didnt have to do section D.

i had that question!! about what the cpu doesnt do.

yeh i remember bloody stupid questions like that

some could be more than the allocated answers or none :S almost as if the exam writers knew feck all!

reminds me of my driving theory test too...not hard questions but most of the time understanding them or literally guessing 1/2 or so correct answers proves the hardest bit >.<

nvm, I'm making up for only getting a B in ICT at secondary (lets face it, the most indepth it goes is excel calculations and making websites..) by getting distinctions on my ict practitioner course (basically A's at A level)

Still annoys me that GCSEs can still be the deciding factor on unis etc. tho =/

One of the multiple choices, 2 of the options for what a CPU DOESNT do were:

Monitor System Resources

Store Data.

It doesnt really do either?

Been a long time since i did my GCSEs, but questions like that really wound me up, as you could argue either way.

all the questions for ict multiple choice were like that. it like the examiners knew nothing about computers!!!

i have 45mins of biology (higher), i will revise an hour for it later on.

I really felt like writing on the paper, there was so many questions like that.

I know my knowledge is greater than most, but there really shouldnt be stuff like that.

cpu stores data? i would say not, but im not sure. it doesnt really store data though. its not like a memory stick lol

good luck to people gettin their results tomoz!:)

Same, best of luck to everyone..

Im actually quite looking forward to it, I get a handsome financial reward if I do well- should go towards some new speakers :)

Well definitely good luck to you then! A friend of mine's parents promised him a car (jokingly because nobody thought he was going to get them) if he got all A*s...unfortunately for them, he did

stupid ict questions, they dont make it clear, its like they want people to fail....

Explained to an aging engineer yesterday about the difference between IT people and computer people.

A computer person would argue the **** on questions like that on a technical basis, and be correct. However, would fail the question as it's not answered the way that is required.

It's one of the concepts of exams. Not knowing - but being able to answer the questions the way that is expected.

One of the reasons it took me 3 attempts to pass english. Inherently for being honest about what I thought of the texts.
