Video game Bafta's

I'm really suprised on how well COD4 did, despite being a year old, and whats even more suprising, game of the year, super mario galaxy. And GTA:IV didn't even get any awards.
Story and Character: Call of Duty 4
TBH, Mass Effect or Fallout 3 should of gotten that award

Seriously? CoD4? Don't get me wrong it is a good game but nothing when compared with Fallout3/GTA IV.
The story is predictable. The game is generic. Why? Do these people even play games?
GTA IV needs an award for it's fantastic physic engine.
And Fallout 3 for just immersing the player into another world.
WTF, why is Dead Boring... I mean Dead Space in there?

I generally avoid anything with the name Mario in it so I am rather suprised that it was nominated game of the year?
Have these Judges not played God of War, Fallout, Oblivion, GTA IV, L4D, DMC, Mirrors Edge, RA3?
Seriously, I'm rather confused if my taste is just exotic or that I'm just blind and stupid enough to be unable to fathom how Mario became game of the year.

I bet the judge is a 5 year old waving around his wi... WII remote.

Yeah u gotta bear in mind the voters/judges.
Similar to movie listing awards, they`ll generally vote for a movie that is fashionable to favor.

Although Cod4 did deserve at least one award..for multiplayer at least
GTA4, meh suppose the physics was something new but the game itself is boring to hell

GTA is just boring, same thing all the time. I got bored after an hours play. I still play Cod4/5 now.
having said that, this is coming from a guy who enjoyed playing the bond game
