For me Nvidia have been up to some shady stuff of late so it puts me off giving them my money for new cards.

Nothings changed though Nvid for benching/folding

ATI for the best quality gaming

Most users are gamers so tbh they should be spending wisely and buying ati.

Total bandwagon non-news fabrications of nothing to take any serious note of, imo.

Only way any of these manufacturers are gonna impress me is to stop pussy footing around with midrange nonsense and push forward.

Can see why their not tho with little to push the market software wize.

It's a waste imo. Repeatedly buying meager cards on a more frequent basis or buy the top ones that are more expensive.

Rejoice. Honestly, I don't care so much with their rehashes on the G92, just keep yourself educated on what's being shelled out and what is the ideal purchase. This tight competition between them is good, especially for us, considering how sub $500 cards might finally reach the realm of affordability.

How is a 2nd/3rd most powerful nVidia single GPU card meant to be a counter for ATI's first most powerful single GPU card?

Sounds like someone is underestimating the 4890 to me... The '70 is close to the gtx260 and the '90 has been promised to boost performance with 20 to 30%. With the die shrink it might also have more overclocking headroom, beating the gtx260.

Weird to see nVidia going to value way :/

The 4890 isn't a die shrink... It's still 55nm process so likely more power and more heat.

I don't honestly think nVidia think of Ati when they do stuff. Their pricing would be more reflective if they did.

Similar to how Intel release things without any thought of what the current AMDs are doing. New stuff from the competitor is maybe different, if they're a threat that is.

Wish they did think of Ati tho
