In theory, this is slightly better than 2x 260 in SLI ? (cos of the direct contact and other direct tech)
I`d stick with a single high end card myself, but this is gonna push out some serious figures.
Spose those with the cash will still look to sli 2x 280s, and turn off the central heating.
Some crazy resolutions there btw. I bet they`re closer at lower resolutions cos of the limitations of the games.

Lets keep in mind that the GX2 can be used in a non-SLI board.
Although again, the rich will have X58 systems...

Thats physx performance though, I fail to believe that in crysis, fc2 etc the difference would be that. Clearly biased figures released by nvidea

As someone who owns a 9800GX2 I can thoroughly say I wouldn't go anywhere near it. New games are always greeted with crap performance and scaling, your always 1-2 driver releases behind in optimizations, they pump out ridiculous amounts of heat and even the thought of trying to take the thing apart to keep it within meltdown limits is nerve wrecking.
If I were to go SLI/Crossfire again i'd do it with multiple cards, that way when I do find out it's a dog I can at least sell 1 on and get some money back. ¬.¬

Yep I agree, GX2 left a little bit of a sour taste in my mouth before.
Will wait for the next single card successor to the 280GTX

It`s mostly willy waving. Benchmarking ur gonna care alot.
But in all honesty, in the real world, would u care that with a quad sli pumped eff-setup gives 125+ fps, when a single card gives u 100+ ?
Ur game looks as good as it can - happy days

We are now seeing nVidia's true potential begin to emerge from its cards thank god but I would believe the test system was pretty cutting edge otherwise those scores would not be seen at all. I will have to check with a friend on UKCS about the figures but I don't think the PhysX results are actually high enough given the actual power in those cards. Again programmers won't fully customise for every setup for maximum performance because instead of 1 installer you'd need probably over 100.

This card should effectively work the same as GTX280 SLi because of the dual PCB design. Looks nice though, I'll give 'em that.
