Ahh that's alright then. Was saying the same to Tox over MSN Smithy. Slap two together though and it'll do it in wont it at the same-ish price?

Man... 4870 looks really good and looked like it would topple a single 280 in Crossfire, but it seems it scales horribly. So for $300 x 2 you can have Crossfire or just pay the extra $30 and get the single card 280. Same sort of sound and same soft of heat as well as power consumption. Meh.

Anyway Tox... Hurry up with ya news

4870 = OCed 4850. 300 bucks for 4870 or 199 for 9800GTX? The GTX stomps it. So, yea the X2 is gonna be horribly priced and it would be more worth it to buy a 280.

I've just seen another review that contradicts the first one I read... OC3D for Crossfire 4870s!!

I don't think I've got room for two 4870's in ma 900 anyway so 280 it is and if the X2 smacks it then I'll just flog the 280 and buy the X2 and save some dosh.

Lets see what the new drivers do, and the x2 might be better, who knows. I want to see these in CF, for $600 I'd probably get a pair, or maybe the 280... Fra-aaag

4870 = gddr5 and an oc, 4850 = gddr3
