I can bench at 4700mhz no worries...without much voltage..

i was hoping for a superpi run...but nothing my ram isnt here yet...

so i had to run slack timings of 2 3 3 6...

monday i will get my ram fingers crossed but no pc on monday...will update in a few weeks when i get my connection sorted

Been browsing the forums today a bit and came accross this thread of mine...my last and best overclock...man thats what? 2 years ago?

Time goes by so quick.

Gonna be taking my mk2 gt to get it repaired in a few weeks...regassed too and i have been thinking...

As soon as its up and ready to go again i am gonna be doing some volt modding to my Ic7MAX3.

Find the max overclock of this cpu as the max 3 has more voltage options...then finding the max stable speed for benching...obviously no 3d as theres no point in it...

Then we can compare an old pcs benches with a newer one or with another pressy at the same speed to find how faster ddr2 and new boards have made todays rigs...

That would be interesting to watch.

My ram is the OCZ 3700EB...

To be updated hopefully in a few weeks time...what u think?

Lucky man to have a working MAX 3 still. Mine blew it's self up the other week and very gutted. Least i'm getting my money back on her.

Mods speak to Thickbrit here. He is a MAX3 king, 8 or so under his belt that has killed on phase and will do all mods known to man and beast for you. He did my Asus bord and i'm at 4Ghz stable thanks to them.

By the way i'm doing 4ghz with a 3.2 pressi on air!!!

No probs matey....i can do my own volt mods so no need to contact Thickbrit ..in fact i have been modding P4C800Es for users in here in the past..phils old SK8V etc.

Since i am taking my mach 2 Gt to hipro5 to have a look at i may just take the max3 with me so that he can mod it as i cant be ****d this period...think you remeber hipro5 who wrote that nearly 20 page guide when the max3 came out

Firslty it's great to see you back here dude - hope u gonna get back into it all again and keep us all updated with your progress - I re-call seeing this clock when I was real pleased I'd just hit 4.4Ghz lol - halcyon days mate.

That's the guide I used on my MAX3's - After the mods the board could not be faulted, well until the 875 chipset hit the ceiling! 8)

yeah i missed the old days man.Uni...part time work...extra pocket money...new toys every week to play with....

i remember keeping cpus for a day or two max sometimes in the search for something extra...hundrends of mails and calls to retailers to get hold of Prescott D0s, Malay chips with specific FPO/Batch numbers etc...bah....

Missed all that tbh.Several posts with max clocks...super pi races with Dazboots if i am not mistaken

Oh well...I was talking to a mate tonight whos an engineer repairing and installing Cooling solutions for houses, industry etc.

He told me he can repair the Mach 2 no probs...BUT i think i will stick to the plan with Hipro5 who knows exactly what needs doing to the mach 2 as i have seen his new units regassed etc...so its gonna take time...

Anyways...need to sort out some things first with my Master degree being officially "recognised" by my country, then get a job and start clocking again with brand new toys and prolly a cascade...
