Phil. Can you also confirm the part about the sealing string. will I need to place an order with you or can I go to B&Q or something

Noooooo! You do not need to apply any paste in the socket! I dont ever touch the socket when I install the mach II. I just use the bare minimum of seal string and I've very rarely suffered condensation out of probably 120 builds now.

What do you want to know about the string mate? You get a round of it when you buy a cpukit, or I can sell double packs of the stuff - it's not that cheap though really, although it is brilliant stuff.

doh that sux, glad i told him to check with you, im sure the thing i read off nvetivs website the guy used it, covered the socket with it, pushed the CPU in and then applied some on the top of the CPU itself, so what stuff do u use on the CPU > head?

its just that I am running low...

I changed my MB yesterday and made an error and put it on the wrong was and wasted some stuff... I might have enough to take it off and check that I have a good contact.

Can I re-use the stuff???

It says on the nVentiv website and in the manual somewhere that you can reuse seal string yea, if you cant its never done me any harm. Was using the same lot without even touching the reel again for months on my Mach1, and that was with about 15-20 system rebuilds over those months.

just as well I kept it then.. Cheers for that

I have reseated my head and I am getting a temp of -19 idle

I am using my laptop and the only other program running on my PC is webtemp

is -19 right???? This is the temp reported from the MB

prime95 id say, tho prime 95+running the nature test in 3dmark is pretty intensive :P
