which set up for my 8800 ultra's

hi there just a quick question got two possible set ups for my 8800's but which one should i do pump 1 is a laing d5 reservoir 1 is a 250 ml xspc passive reservoir and radiator 1 is a pa120.3 cooled by three silverstone tech fm121 fans in push config

I'm no water cooling expert, but I've asked the same question before and the first one was the one I was recommended by the very people in these forums.

Yep. I'd say first too.

BTW, what is going to be cooling your CPU?

ok going to go with the first one

and mullet on the cpu is a d-tek fuzion block 1/2 tygon tubing seperate laing d5 seperate xspc 5 1/4 drive bay reservoir a pa120.2 with 2 silverstone tech fm121's

have a look at the twin pumps in the projects section under richys new rig page 3

good choice with the first one has y adaptes are a no no has water will always go fot the easyist route which mean one card will be getting a lot warmer than the other

plus a tip now that you have water blocks on your cpu you could mount a fan like this and this realy helps drop temps big time with the water just a thought mount it with a small cable tie thru the large hole on the back of the card

First picture is the best option. The righthand option with Y's - as already pointed out, water will always take the path of least resistance, so including slight difference in tubing length and bends when using the Y's, one card will get more flow than the other... but more importantly, when splitting the flow to each block you half the flowrate, velocity and turbulence thru each block, and thus reduce the cooling performance of the waterblocks.
