Windows Server 2003 nlite

I just made myself a nice lite version of Server 2003.

I burn to disk using nLite.

I try and boot from the disk and it comes up with Bootmgr missing.

Whats gone Wrong?

Edit: Could it be because I put the files on a DVD.. the only disk I could find..

At the end of the nlite procedure did you choose to make an ISO image? If not, and you just burned the files using nero to a DVD that's prolly why.

That is what I did, and I burnt the image to disk using nLite.

hmm..i've never tried burning to DVD using nlite, but I know it works using vlite so just assumed it would be the same. Maybe not

Im thninking maybe the set up files don't like the DVD format... so will not boot.

lol, the setup files are 200mb and the DVD is 4.7Gb... mmmm!

pretty sure my server03 is on a dvd, so shdnt be the problem

Right, Im back... This time I burnt my ISO to CD.

Now perfect to boot from.

I have it installed now, And I must say.. so much cleaner and quicker.

Dave, how small did you get your 2k3?

I got my installtion files down to about 350Mb from 500ish.
