shame the wii's cost so much tho

The sensor pad could detect the increase in downward force as you move your arms up.

that is so craptastic imo, sure its good as far as tech wise but it doesnt look like fun at all and i bet it will be quite pricey.
a dance mat and dance game (for console or pc) would be cheaper and more fun than that by miles.
Raging.

Wouldn't have thought moving your arms would make that much difference to the force on the pad.

If it does work that way, then it would be in gravity im guessing.

If you want to excercise play some real sports, go to the gym, get out of the house!
I think this is a novelty item. I don't like it to be honest.

Thats the thing though, most overweight/unfit people dont want to play real sports or excercise. At least this way they are doing it whilst doing something they may love.

quite true.
its just more fun tbh, wouldnt you prefer to have fun while your burning a few cals?
although this wii thing doesnt look very fun at all and the features will probably be very limited but some ppl will probably like it.
the price will probably be a big factor, lets hope they can keep it decent compared to the other cheap methods of having fun and burnin some cal's at the same time.
